Dr. Jason R. Pingel

Mission EyeCare is pleased to welcome our newest optometrist, Dr. Jason Pingel!

 

After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Iowa State University, Dr. Pingel matriculated to the Illinois College of Optometry where he completed both his doctorate and B.S.V.S. in 2000.  He then completed a post-doctorate internship with the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago where he received extensive training in ocular disease and emergency eye care.

 

Since 2003, Dr. Pingel has been in private practice in the Kansas City area with emphasis on the treatment of chronic ocular disease, pediatrics and advanced contact lens fitting.  He has vast experience with ocular complications associated with Lyme’s Disease and its treatment.

 

Dr. Pingel has participated in several contact lens clinical trials, and is a consultant with the Lasik Center of Topeka.  He enjoys his participation in Medical Wings International, and has traveled extensively throughout the world.

 

As a trusted leader in the industry, Dr. Pingel is also a national speaker for Johnson & Johnson VisionCare, makers of Acuvue brand contact lenses.


Dr. Angela M. Honson

Dr. Angela Honson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston. She completed externships at the University of Houston, Offut Airforce Base and Santa Fe Indian Hospital in the areas of low vision, pediatrics, contact lenses, diabetic eye care and primary eye care. Dr. Honson co manages post-operative surgeries such as cataract and LASIK and enjoys fitting contact lenses and treating Dry Eye Syndrome. She also takes a special interest in providing children's eye exams.

 


Dr. Susan K. Bullano

Dr. Susan Bullano graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While there, Dr. Bullano completed an internship in Pediatrics, receiving a clinical excellence award, and an internship in Low Vision. She also completed externships at a V.A. Hospital in Newington, Connecticut, Broward EyeCare in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and an Ophthalmology practice in Lake Worth, Florida. She especially enjoys fitting contact lenses and working with pediatric patients.
